Anthony Biedul has been involved with the Folklore community since college. As President of the UC Santa Barbara Merhaba Folk Dance Club his junior and senior years, he put on two Folk Dance Institutes/Festivals. His final units for graduation were earned at Sweets Mill Folk Camp. (Mark Levy gave me an A.)
After college he joined the AMAN International Folk Ensemble in Los Angeles, CA and danced with the company for 13 years. During his tenure in AMAN he was a principal dancer, men's dance director, principal teacher for AMAN's Small Group through the Music Center outreach programs with the Los Angeles Unified School District, was a company spokesperson and liaison on AMAN's board of directors. In addition, he also co-directed four of the popular AMAN Institutes (folk dance & music workshops & evening parties w/live music). Anthony currently lives in the Santa Barbara area, is a lawyer and local businessman having owned his own property management company for the last 20 years, specializing in residential apartments.
